This rod gripper is optimized for the use in manufacturing systems engineering and toolmaking. Through the use of two magnetic poles pointing in the same direction, lose objects are attracted reliably, regardless of direction or position. The magnet system is enclosed in a brass pot and thus provides the optimum protection for the magnetic core. The magnet system can be fixed by pressing, gluing or shrinking.
If the rod gripper is directly surrounded by iron during installation it could lead to an adhesive force reduction of up to 15%. To avoid force reduction, a minimum distance of 2.5 mm should be respected from the brass casing of the rod gripper to the surrounding iron.
