I magneti in ferrite sono adatti perfettamente all'impiego in ambienti esterni (resistenti alla ruggine). Comparati con i magneti al neodimio, i magneti in ferrite hanno una forza di attrazione inferiore ma possono essere riscaldati fino a 250°C. I magneti in ferrite possono rappresentare un'alternativa ai magneti al neodimio se l'aspetto non è importante o se i magneti devono essere riscaldati di più.

Crepe sottili e bordi frastagliati sono una proprietà del materiale che dipende dalla produzione e non compromette in alcun modo l'uso del magnete.
